Classical music
We listen to classical music probably as much as metal. My husband's favorites include Pagannini and Beethoven. I like Mozart's string quartet pieces better than some of his piano pieces.
Anybody else into classical, either traditional or contemporary, or maybe both?

Re: Classical music
I'm partial to Holst's 'Planets' suite as well as the operas of 'Der Ring des Nibelungen' by Wagner.
I also dig more avant-garde from John Cage, Henry Cowell, etc.

Re: Classical music
David Arkenstone is one of the new composers I like, too. He writes epics and story music - grand, majestic pieces that make for intense listening.

Re: Classical music
I have discovered one of the most beautiful classical pieces ever.
it's 16th century Renaissance,
by THomas Tallin, called the 40 part motet,
there are 8 groups of 5 voices singing, and it sounds like a friggin choir of angels.
sick and beautiful
