Dargaard
Man, awesome awesome band. Chamber/darkwave with dark, medival black metal influence. Mostly female vocals, occasional black rasps. If it weren't for the occasional song revolving around stuff like this:
"Fight for the wolf in your heart
Against the cross in your back"
I would own everything they ever put out.
And yes I understand the broad meaning of those songs, but they just choose, like many, to proclaim Christian faith as that freedom/wisdom inhibitor..naughty BM people.
But everything they have is amazing and - truly dark - music. My favorite song is probably 'Underworld Domain'.

Re: Dargaard
yes..awesome band.
I actually built a rock retaining wall with the drummer in my band.. for a job we were doing...and we blasted some Dargaard all day... it felt like we were building a castle wall or seomthing with the Dargaard musik going. . The atmosphere in it is powerful.
Arcana is also very AWESOME>

Re: Dargaard
The EP is like the only thing I ever really liked by that band.
Yeah, they got way heavier later, but the songs stood out less for me. I guess I should try out their latest again or something. But I still need an original copy of 'Emperor'..

Re: Dargaard
I love both Dargaard and Arcana. One of my favourite Arcana songs is 'Innocent Child', it just blows me away...

Re: Dargaard
Hmm, I'm not sure which one you mean.
Has anybody here heard of other bands similar, such as Weltenbrand and Narsillion?
