Favorite meat?

Yea, I don't eat pork. There has to be a reason the Bible warns against eating the meat from dirty animals.

Bacon isn't pig-meat, it's grown from the baconbush.
That's my friends brilliant excuse for eating bacon but not pig.

But yea.. my girlfriend makes this soy sausage or bacon.. it's take just like the real thing.. only it's better for you.

I still eat real bacon too.. if I'm eating out or something. It's undeniably delicious.

Even my non-veggie dad loves it. I don't get it too often though, because I'm trying to not eat so many processed foods, and while I love the taste, I don't love the price.

a pig cannot be slaughtered at the neck due to its anatomy... so it's impossible to kill a pig the kosher/halal way


but i don't like pork, in most forms its pretty nasty, beef is alot tastier not to mention wild animals

i've read it several times... i'm no expert on pig anatomy but i suppose you jsut can't empty them on blood from the neck thats all.

ok so i looked around an supposedly it is because a pig has no neck... they cut the jugular at the neck because that way they can cut the jugular without cutting any other organ, the blood mus only come from the jugular. apparently this is not possible on a pig since they have no neck. one muslim said "if good wanted us to eat pork he would have given them a neck"

Here's the other vessels to and from the head, just like in a human.
Of course pigs have necks, they are only more robust than many other animal necks.

may i also remind you that your pic is of a very much modern pink domesticated pig. both veggies, korn and animals went trough a dramatic change when humans domesticated them in mesopotamia during mesolithic stoneage.

It doesn't matter much that the pig in question has a really fat neck. The same arteries and veins are still there, so it is possible to kill it in a kosher/halal way.

Not that the American meat industry ever slaughters any animals in the Kosher/Halal way...*barf*
